Tina
Reynolds
serves as the Safe Landing Coordinator at the Osborne Association’s Prison Reentry & Family
Services, assisting people with mild mental health issues toward a successful
transition from prison into the community.
Reynolds,
who received a Master in Social Work from Hunter College in 2003, co-founded
WORTH (Women on the Rise Telling Her Story) for women affected by the criminal
justice system, and is a board member of both Justice Works Community and the
Virginia Drew Foundation. In her work over the past ten years, Reynolds
partnered with formerly and imprisoned women to challenge and offer solutions
to policies and other barriers women and families face during and after
incarceration. Tina also developed a
curriculum “Impact of Incarceration on Society, Community, Families and
Children, which will be taught in the spring at CUNY, York College.
The
Osborne Association, a leading multi-service criminal justice organization
serving more than 7,000 people annually, operates programs in community sites,
courts, prisons and jails in New York State. Founded in 1931, Osborne works to
transform the lives of those who have come into conflict with the law, as well
as their families, through innovative, effective, and replicable programs that
serve the community by reducing crime and its human and economic costs.
